Before buying your tickets

We recommend reading these FAQs if it is your first time at the Buenos Aires Obelisk Viewpoint. If you still have specific questions, you can email us and we will reply as soon as possible.

When you are ready, you can go straight to buying official Obelisk Viewpoint tickets or choose a combo with the sightseeing bus.

It is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended. Time slots for the Obelisk Viewpoint are limited and the most popular times (sunset and weekends) often sell out in advance. Buying online allows you to choose the time that best fits your itinerary and receive your digital tickets instantly.

Sunset offers some of the most popular views, with the city lights and the main avenues turning on, so those time slots usually have high demand. If you prefer a quieter experience, we suggest booking mid-morning or early afternoon visits, especially from Monday to Thursday.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time. If you arrive late, entry will depend on operational capacity and available spots in the following time slots. On very busy days we may not be able to move your visit, so we recommend factoring in traffic and travel times.

Change and rescheduling policies may vary depending on the date and type of ticket or combo purchased. In general, changes must be requested with minimum advance notice and are subject to availability for the new time slot. We suggest checking the conditions at the moment of purchase or contacting us before booking if you have doubts.

The visit is not cancelled due to light rain. In case of strong storms, high winds or other conditions that may affect safety, the viewpoint may temporarily pause operations. In those cases, a date change or rescheduling voucher will be offered according to the current policies.

Due to technical and safety limitations, the viewpoint is not accessible for wheelchair users or visitors with very limited mobility. The final stretch includes a narrow spiral staircase that does not allow mechanical aids. If you are unsure whether the visit is suitable in your case, we recommend contacting us before buying your tickets.

Yes, as long as they can complete the ascent assisted by the elevator and the final spiral staircase section without difficulty. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. For seniors or visitors with specific health conditions, we suggest consulting their doctor in advance and evaluating whether the climb is appropriate.

After completing your purchase, you will receive your digital tickets by email, each with its own QR code. You only need to show the code on your phone at the meeting point, together with a photo ID matching the name of the buyer or reservation holder.

The Obelisk Viewpoint is located in Plaza de la República, at the intersection of Avenida 9 de Julio and Avenida Corrientes, in the heart of Buenos Aires. The area is well connected by subway lines, buses and taxis. We recommend arriving with enough time to find the meeting point indicated on your voucher.

If you only have one full day in the city or want to make the most of your time, the Gray Line sightseeing bus combos are an excellent option to combine the Obelisk Viewpoint with a complete tour of Buenos Aires’ main landmarks. If you already know the city or prefer to explore it on your own, you can simply choose the standalone viewpoint ticket.
